Who We Are

Executive Director - Joddie Walker, M.S.

Joddie is the founding Executive Director of the Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center. She has guided its development from start-up to a vibrant child-friendly center with quality programs and dedicated staff, supported by numerous volunteers and donors. Joddie has over 19 years of direct experience with victims of violence and offenders. Previously, Joddie held advocate positions in Maryland, Virginia, and Toronto, Canada (her hometown). Her skills include managing state-wide initiatives, developing multi-media training materials, writing policies and protocols, and critical incident stress management. She received a MS degree in Forensic Psychology from Leicester, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in Canada. Her list of achievements also includes co-authoring the paper “Review of Crown and Judiciary Discretion in the Use of Child Friendly Courtroom and Close Circuit TV” presented at the International Symposium on Victimology in Montreal, Quebec. Joddie is an Advanced Victim Advocate and Certified Trauma Specialist.
